Day 36: Foggy Morning

Day 36: Foggy Morning

I woke up yesterday way too early, and decided since I was awake I might as well get on the treadmill. Heading downstairs takes me by the front door window where I noticed the fog. I started downstairs and then came back up and then started back down and then thought, yes, I’ll try to take a picture. It is still dark at 6:00am, so I’m not only trying a dark shot, but also shooting fog. I’ll finish my nighttime photography books and take tips in hand and try another night shot for comparison later. I do love fog.

I’m all dressed up this morning with no place to go. I woke up on my own accord again at 5:00am, so I decided to once again get on the treadmill. On my way up, I was greeted by beautiful, blinding lightning. It has been raining and thundering and lightning all morning. I showered, did the hair and got dressed. I went to check the temperature before leaving and noticed we were hovering around freezing. I looked at the radar and full weather report and our February thunderstorm is suppose to turn into a February sleet storm and then a February snow storm. Snow around here is rarely in the inches that is a driving problem. I think today is a possibility of only around 2-inches. It is the inch or so of ice that we get before the snow that causes the driving problems, so I opted to work from home.

My last thought for today: I really would love to see a Me First and the Gimme Gimmes song pack released for Rock Band. I wonder if MTV Games has a suggestion box. Wouldn’t it be fun to play this song *

Oh Noez! She’s sharing songs on the interwebs!

Rock on, 1980s!

  1. We are getting Rock Band. I don’t care how much it costs. Unless I’m unemployed. Then I care.
  2. Transformers was soooooooooooooooooo fantastic! OMG! It was just like the cartoon. I like to stay away from all reviews (even though I got sucked into one) and information about the movie aside from trailers. Optimus Prime was the voice of Optimus Prime! Hugo Weaving did a fine job doing Megatron, although Megatron didn’t have much of a role until the end of the movie. Starscream didn’t talk much either. The Transformers looked amazingly cool. It was a fun movie for someone who watched the cartoon in the 80s. We had good company for the movie, although we had to jet out of there as soon as it was over since we told the babysitter we would be home by 10:30. I can’t wait until this comes out on DVD.

Here is your Rock band video. You can see why it must be ours.

There was a cool YouTube video of developers playing Rock Band. Viacom cried copyright infringement and made YouTube take it down. That video did nothing but make me excited for the game. Shame on Viacom.

…is going to be the song that kicks my butt.

I thought that Psychobilly Freakout was hard.

On Sunday afternoon during our shopping break, I suffered a small allergy attack. It wasn’t anything horrible compared to what I used to suffer from, but my eyes got all itchy, watery, bloodshot and started swelling. I took two benedryl, used some Visine, and my mother and I set out to continue shopping. Eventually it went away.

Just about 15 minutes ago, my eyes started itching and getting bloodshot again. While I was playing Guitar Hero II. Then I thought, "I was playing Guitar Hero yesterday when it started too."

I’m allergic to rocking out. How pathetic is that*?

*Or, I’m just allergic to something the guitar is made out of.

Crank it up to 11!!!

Mother’s Day (Weekend) has been great! James and I got to sleep in Saturday and Sunday. Mac cooked all the meals this weekend, and he even made steak for us tonight! On the grill!

My mother and I went shopping for mother’s day. We both came back with bags of goodies. I also picked up Guitar Hero II for the XBox 360. We’ve been rocking all night long. It’s a lot of fun! I’m really glad, like DDR, it has a practice mode so you can turn slow it down a little.

James and Ada made me a card. Well, Ada made most of it. Mac said that James just held the crayon. At least he didn’t try to suck on the crayon.

Ada was playing in her room this evening. She got quiet, so I went in there to see what she was doing. I opened the door, and she looked at me, smiled and said "Ooooh noooo." Why? She decided to climb into this small wooden toy box (that we use as her clothes hamper) and she was stuck. I started laughing at her. Then she started laughing right along with me.
