There must be something wrong with me. Valiant is opening soon, and I’m not sure whether I even want to see it. *gasp*

I suddenly have the overwhelming urge for Skittles!

It’s finally here! Tonight’s dinner and a movie is Trainspotting! I’m going to bring the International version. Yippee!

I also ordered a short that Ewan did called Solid Geometry. It was adapted from a short story and directed by his uncle, Denis Lawson.

Since today is Ewan day, here’s a couple of more tidbits:

The BBC is re-airing a reading of some Anton Chekhov short stories that Ewan did a couple of years back. I’m going to be out of town, and I doubt I’ll take time out to record them. Can anybody else record this from BBC Radio 4 for me? If so, I’ll give you the dates/times that it will be aired.

oh! I didn’t know about this! There a chance I’ll be out of town then, though.

Happy new Ewan movie on DVD day!! Go out today and pick up your copy of Big Fish. You know I will be! If you don’t feel like buying, but want to borrow or watch it with me, let me know.

Heads up sent from MB : Ewan McGregor is taking the long way to New York. Funny thing, I’m taking a trip to New York this summer. Even funnier how I’m planning on moving it to around the end of July. Even funnier still, I feel like doing some Ewan Spotting.

Also, can anybody* verify that Young Adam is going to be released to theatres in the US this April? It is already released to DVD in the UK, and I thought about buying it since I heard the US DVD release will have important parts cut out of it. I’m not sure if the film distribution will as well.

While catching up on my blog reading today, I experienced the widest range of emotions in a period of time less than a couple of seconds, and I hadn’t even read a post yet. Bukkhead has changed his picture since the last time I’ve read. I instantantly recognized it and went from gasping excitement of recognizing it, to giggling* happiness of it being there, to a whole jumble of them because of the blaspamy of the picture.

Yup, I’m a freak.

Just as I’m about to turn in for the night*, Amazon e-mails me to tell me that Big Fish will be available on DVD on April 27th! Too bad I won’t be pre-ordering it from you, dear Amazon, since you have decided to start charging sales tax to Kansas residents starting April 1st. Now I just need that e-mail about Young Adam.

What do those two have in common? Well, only that one gave me more time to think about the other. I had some bad electronic juju happening with my main development machine at work. If there is an error to be had in Win2k, I had it–including a “catastrophic error.”
