This has already appeared on Facebook and Twitter, and if you pay attention to my Twitter feed on the bottom of the front page of this site, then everybody has seen it.

I am currently talking myself out of buying this shirt. Do I want it? Oooooooh, yes. Will I get it? Hmmm…

I’ve also been thinking about the Think Geek customer action shots. They posted recently about the Top 5 Overdone Action Shots. I rarely find many action shots that interesting. Yippee, ladies, a cam whore shot of your boobs in a Think Geek tee. Original.

Most people know that I already have one shot up there*. It would be an interesting project to take action shots with a purpose. And an excuse to get the BaCoN shirt.

*Yippee, another shot of your kid in a Think Geek tee. Original. But, Jay’s face. There is no shirt on that site more appropriate for him than that one. I even bought a bigger size once he outgrew the one he’s wearing in that shot.

You know that wonderful smell of rain and earth that occurs only in the Spring? I love it. Except when it is ground into my carpet. Thanks, children. I really wanted to spend the entire night steaming the carpets*.

Yesterday was warm and sunny and beautiful and muddy. Today is cold and rainy and still muddy. Tonight I’m making miso soup with scallions, ginger, spinach and tofu. A warm light soup sounded really good. I’m also making a loaf of bread since we’re out.

Tomorrow Ada starts her new dance class. It is from 4:45-5:15. It’s downtown, so I’m hoping we can leave a little earlier to land some rain boots for Ada. I had her try the ones on we keep at school today, and they are too small. Rain boots are a required pair of school shoes, so I hope they have them. I hit three of the south Lawrence big box stores today, and there were none.

Jay spent the morning running around performing this William Shatner Wrath of Bacon scream. He spent half of one store run today singing about bacon. Then he stated that he wanted an umbrella with dinosaurs and bacon on it. I took some out of the fridge for breakfast tomorrow. Bacon, eggs and I want to try making bacon, cheddar biscuits while I have bacon out.

I also made banana bran muffins again to use up some ripe bananas. This time I tried vegan muffins. I’m convinced that vegan baking is like diet soda. There isn’t a point, and no amount of people claiming that “You just have to get used to it” will convince me otherwise. Jay seemed to like them though. He ate them all yesterday, except for one that he crumbled up and stored under his hat. While his hat was on his head.

Off to the kitchen!

*The living room carpet needed it anyhow.

Ada hopped up in the massage chair, and as she said, “wanted it to start.” I decided to put the feet one on because it wouldn’t really hurt her at all as small as her legs and feet are. She is now asleep with the chair rubbing her feet for her.

James and Mac are sleeping to. Now is my time to really get something done. If I could only pick between the gazillion things on my list.

Mac reminded me of the other item. The company we hired to survey our yard took over two weeks to only put one flag in our yard, and then they charged us over double what they quoted us. Yes, they never even finished the job. I had forgotten about that, probably because thinking about it pisses me off.

Bacon, it is haunting me. Here is the latest bacon item that has crossed my path. Fortunately this was only in my RSS feed: bacon-scented , bacon print tuxedo.

It is like my time with the Musak man. I saw one at my eye doctor one time. He was up on the roof what I assume was fixing/installing for the office. But he stared at me. It was creepy, but whatever. But after that day, I saw Musak trucks everwhere. They were following me. Just like the bacon.
