Mama needs a new pair of shoes
I know Mac doesn’t like that title, but the way my feet have been feeling for the last couple of weeks, and having three runs with some odd hip pain, I really do feel it is time.
I bought my current running shoes over a year ago with the intention to, you know, run, which I didn’t. Well, I did try at the beginning of the year, but quit after 3 weeks. I’ve also worn them to just wear them because they are the only non-mowing ones I have. This weekend: new shoes. Must.
Today’s run: 59:06. My calves do not feel tight like they did last time. I ended up nursing them in our massage chair after my last run, which btw, is not gentle. It squeezes the crap out of your calves. It hurts, but I distracted myself with the new episode of Chuck. After the chair was done assaulting me, I stretched and walked around the house a bit, and they felt better. I did not suffer any pain, and I took two days of running rest just to make sure the muscles had plenty of time to heal.
