My search for usable coupons
I decided to make a better effort to find coupons. I got a book from Target in the mail that contained 24 coupons. I could use one of them. It was a dollar off a package of strawberries. That’s it. All the rest were for crap I don’t use or would never eat.
I’m going to keep looking just to keep track on here just how many I can use. I may investigate the online ones. In the past in order to use it, you had to install adware or spyware on your computer, so I’m hesitant. I looked through one site, which is escaping me at the moment. There wasn’t a single one that I would use. I’ll have to look at my history again to find the site.
I think it is better to just shop sales or shop in bulk at Costco. The only problem I have with Costco is that I have to buy so much when it comes to fresh produce. We are going to be eating a lot of plums over the weekend. They looked so good, but man, there are a lot of them. Sometimes it is best when you can split produce buys at Costco with friends.
There is also the option of mooching off your friends’ gardens, especially when you suck at growing things. Like me. Even my herbs all failed except for last years chives and one basil plant.
Today is house cleaning day so I too can have a three day weekend. The odd thing about taking a break from working because I was working too much is that because I have to handle everything in regards to the house and kids, I still don’t get a lot of time off. I want to have the entire weekend off, and do nothing house related aside from dishes. And laundry. And having the kids pick up. And, oh, who am I kidding. I’ll still feel better about the weekend if I do a scrub down of the house today. Off I go!
