Ada’s Birthday
Ada’s birthday isn’t until May, but she has been talking about it since October. I hear this at least once a day: I have a great idea. I’ll get this for my birthday! She’s been inviting her friends to her birthday party for months. The one I haven’t even really planned*. She has been talking so much about it that the other night at dinner, Jay pointed at the dumplings and said, “Please! I please have more of that for my birthday**?”
Of all the 1025 things she claims to want for her birthday, the one thing that I may actually get her is a dollhouse***. And maybe roller skates, depending on the price of the dollhouse. I’ll have to compile a list of Things Ada Wants For Her Birthday.
*She went to a party a couple of weeks ago that made her finally change her mind that her birthday will be at Chuck E. Cheese. Now she wants to have it at the Indoor Aquatic Center. Thank goodness!
**Not only did I say yes, I let him have another dumpling right at that moment rather than saving that dumpling until next February.
***Unfortunately, it will not involve Eliza Dushku in any way.
