The Console Trifecta

One weekend when my brother came to visit, he brought his PS3 and left it for me to babysit while he was in the middle of a move. We got our Wii about a week after Jay was born, and have had our 360 for even longer. I never bought into the PS3 because it was a tad too expensive and didn’t really offer anything over the other two except for the Blu-ray player. We already have one Blu-ray player that we got for free when we bought our bedroom tv.

We’ve had our brother’s in the living room for almost two months to act as a media player for our server, a function the 360 is performing in our bedroom. I’ve also used it to watch some Blu-ray movies. I bought Little Big Planet, a PS3 only game that is full of awesome, especially with its level-creating ability and Ada playability. The PS3 has made a nice little home for itself, and whenever my brother calls, I answer the phone with the greeting “What PS3?” I am giving my brother it back at Thanksgiving, and I won’t even accidentally forget it because Mac got us a PS3 slim for our anniversary. Now we have all three consoles.

He also got me a 6 month supply* of chocolate. Ada kept pulling chocolate out of the bag and saying, “Oh thank you! That’s my favorite kind!”

*That’s about 4 weeks worth on the Melissa-to-Michael conversion scale.
