Tonight for dinner: hopefully the pork I didn’t make last night. I painted three shelves. Then I decided to give the trim in the kids’ room another coat. Then I gave the trim in the hallway a refresher coat. Then I cleaned the kids’ carpet, except for the middle where Ada’s bed is sitting. We didn’t take it apart to paint. We moved it in the middle of the room and painted around it.

The paint in the kids’ room is done and dry. The carpet should be dry. I moved the fan around this morning to dry the one wet part. I will take a photo of the paint before I move all the crap back in it.

The kids are going to paint this afternoon–if they can stop fighting. I kicked them both outside and then they just started fighting at the deck door, so I let Jay come in and left Ada outside, but then she started standing at the deck door crying. I had her come in and turned on tv and gave them candy. Eating candy kept them both occupied.

I was trying to decide what I could hang on the walls in the kids’ room. I really did not want mass market Target art. I want something more unique. Then it hit me. What could be more unique than having my kids paint their own wall decor? Lucky for me, both canvas and acrylic paint is on sale at Michael’s. I bought each kid two small ones. I’m predicting that Jay will go with abstract expressionism. Ada’s will be a naïve.

My house, OMG, my house! There is stuff everywhere. It will help a great deal once I start moving the kids bedroom out of the living room.

The dollar bins at Target have kid hat and gloves. I picked up an extra hat and gloves for Ada. You can never have too many, and it is against the law to glue them on their hands and head. I bought a hat for Jay. He won’t take it off. It’s pretty cute.
