Oh, that’s where the crayons went

Everything except Ada’s bed, which would have to be disassembled, has been taken out of the kids room. I moved Jay’s bed and found all the crayons that went missing a few weeks ago. Also pictured is a half eaten apple. You should have seen it when I turned it over. I spared everyone a photo of that.

The kids’ bedroom has been moved to our bedroom and the living room. It and their bathroom are being painted. We closed on this house 1.5 weeks before we had Ada. It was painted bright pink because it was her room. Then we had Jay. Once he was big enough for a crib, he moved in to share a room. The room has remained bright pink. I don’t really care much, and Jay certainly has no preference at all yet, but Mac does care. I was going to repaint the entire room some gender neutral color, but Ada did not want to let go of her pink. So, the bottom half of Jay’s side will be a light blue, the bottom half of Ada’s will be a light pink, the trim will be the dark brown I’ve used on the trim in the rest of upstairs and the top half of the room will remain white.

I’m also going to shampoo the carpet after everything is dry. I might as well take the opportunity while everything is out of there. It really needs it. The kids will be excited to have a slumber party in the living room the next couple of nights.

Between moving all this stuff around to paint and me not doing anything around the house due to my ankle, our house is a disastrous mess.

The ankle this morning felt great, surprising after I abused it yesterday evening. It has started hurting again, but not too bad. I put the brace on for today again. I was even able to use it to brake while driving today instead of using my left foot for the breaking. I’m going to take it easy on ankle activities for another week. Like I can get to my treadmill anyhow.

Now I have to tackle this mess. Tonight is leftover night, thankfully. I’m also thinking that it was not the best idea to wash the “lay flat to dry” sweaters this morning.
