What’s Cooking Friday
Today’s only cooking item was smores. We ordered Chinese because we had a bonfire to go to at 6:30. The kids had fun running around with all the other kids. I got to meet some of the Raintree parents–a rarity since it is a quick drop-off, pick-up in the morning. We returned home and bathed the kids. I was talking with Mac when Jay walked in munching on one of the chocolate bars we took to the bonfire. Yup, I left it in his reach and he made a beeline for it as soon as he was free to do so. I said “No chocolate Jay” which was his cue to take off running. I caught up with him in the kitchen where he was trying to shove as much chocolate in his mouth as he could before I took it away. I was planning on eating it as soon as they went to bed. I have other chocolate, which I want to melt into hot chocolate because it is 41 degrees and we spent the last 1.5 hours outside. I could have swore that I bought myself a new coat at the end of last winter because it was on sale and I cannot find it so it must have been a dream so I spent the last 1.5 hours outside with a sweatshirt.
