What’s Cooking Saturday & Sunday
Saturday was pizza night: two pepperoni and one chicken BBQ with pineapple and bacon. It was served with a spinach salad with strawberries, pecans, feta and homemade vinaigrette. That is the trifecta of salad: fruit, nuts and cheese. I threw more grapes on the table. I had made the apple cake the day before as an intended dessert, but I woke up to find Jay helping himself. Since he had already obliterated about 1/4 of it, I sliced it up for breakfast. I let Ada pick out a dessert at the store. She talked up the carrot cake, but choose the Key Lime pie once there. That was served with coffee. I picked up some Boulevard Wheat to go with the pizza, and I was carded. Score!
Tonight will be dinner out. We are making a family trip to the Halloween costume store. I’m having problems finding one key item that I was going to do for Jay’s costume, so I’m going to just let him pick out one. Costuming isn’t a skill I posses.
