Happy Days

I pick Ada up from school at 11:30. For this pick up, I packed up some apple slices, water, and Ada’s bike. She was surprised but not really about the impending bike ride upon seeing her bike in the car. She was surprised at how silly I was for putting her bike in the car. Silly mommy!

I also packed my camera. I would much prefer a backpack camera bag for these kind of trips. Trying to carry it messenger style sends a pain down my shoulder and makes whichever arm is pulling the weight fall asleep. Yes, backpack. I wonder if I can find a “buy a Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II Ultra Wide Angle Lens, get a backpack case for free” deal. Heh. I don’t think I could get Mac to fall for it.

This photo included with this post is my end of summer photo for 2009. Here is my End Of Summer 2008 photo. I seem to disappoint some by refusing to take those terribly cheesy posed shots of the first day of school, but I’m liking the idea of a End Of Summer series.

I just watched Flash Forward. It intrigued me enough to give it a chance. I hope they do it well because it is set up like the kind of show that I like. For those reading who don’t know: it is based off of the novel. For those that don’t know the novel: everybody on Earth blacks out at the same time for a little over 2 minutes. During that “blackout” everybody sees a glimpse of their future. It is appearing that it is the same day in April 2010. The fallout from that flash forward causes a tad bit of mayhem as planes crash and cars crash and helicopters crash. Now everyone gets to piece together their future. It is looking like it will follow the same themes in the book.
