Tough girl
This was a great pose for trying a technique to give photos a gritty look.
She loves that bike. She toppled the bike over about 4 times. Even with me demonstrating, she hasn’t quite grasped the fact that pedaling backwards enacts the breaks, so when she is riding fast in a tight circle and then hits her breaks, over goes the bike. The awesomeness of it was she got back up, dusted herself off and got back on the bike without a single tear. She even skinned one knee up a little before I decided that she should start sporting her knee pads. I’m really glad we live in a cul-de-sac because she has a big circle with no thru traffic that she can ride in. Sometime, probably next week, I’m going to throw the bike in the car when I pick her up from Raintree so we can hit a path. It is pretty easy for me to keep up with her just by walking.
I feel bad that she wanted to ride it today, but I had to finish some painting downstairs so everything was done and dry by tomorrow. Mac wasn’t feeling great most of the day. Hopefully I can get done what I need to get done in the morning so we can have some afternoon bike time. My mother is arriving tomorrow with a dresser and bed for the guest room. If you know of anybody with muscles than can help move it down into the basement, please send them over around 6:30pm. They are heavy! They will stay one night, although I suggested two. My brother and his kids will be here Friday. I may have to put a halt on the painting until next week. Maybe I can get the area at the bottom of the stairs done on Thursday.
