I finally put these together
The bikes have been in our garage for a little over a week, but rain and a lack of helmet for Jay that wasn’t Barbie put off the assembly. The weather forecast has changed quite a bit, and yesterday new helmets must have come in because there was one with dinosaurs that fit him. Even though I was really tired, I put the bikes together last night after they had both gone to bed, and at least Ada was asleep. I brought them upstairs after assembly to leave in the living room so they’d see them when they woke up. Since I was up until after 2:00am thanks to games and Arrested Development, I wasn’t awake to see her reaction. Apparently she yelled, “Bike! Bike! Who put the bike in the house? That’s funny!” and then she fell down and literally ROFL. What attracted me to Jay’s bike was the word “Tough.” That bike is heavy! It has to be primarily titanium. If Jay can destroy this bike, then he’s probably just one industrial accident away from a life of super villainy.
Now I just need to finally get that cup of coffee in me so I can make final adjustments to seats and handlebars before I head outside for some bike riding.
