What’s Cooking Tuesday

Aug 25th, 2009By: Comments 1

Fajitas: steak, green and orange bell peppers, onions with Pensey’s fajita seasoning. Topping included homemade salsa, Vermont aged white cheddar and sour cream because I don’t have a yo-cheese made at the moment. It was typical household fajita fair. I really like cooking veges and meat and eating them wrapped in a tortilla.

Dessert was picked out by Ada. I was going to experiment with a new cake, but my oven mitts were filthy and needed a spin in the wash. And yes, I have only one pair. They are the replacement pair I bought for the two pair that wore out enough to cause hot things to hurt me. I need a back-up pair for those. In red.

Back on track–I let Ada pick out a cake selection at the store. She picked carrot cake. After eating the frosting, we had this exchange, as already seen on Facebook:

Ada exclaims, “I love carrots!” I respond, “Of course you do, as long as they are made from frosting or are actually Cheetos.”
