The Vacation Continues
I’m not sitting on a beach. I haven’t read a book. My “vacation” has still been enjoyable. Why? I went to bed with most of my house clean. The kitchen was spotless. The playroom is organized. There are only a few toys in the living room*. The kids’ room is clean. The dog is even clean. I did it all, and I don’t feel stressed because I spent time doing it when I should be sleeping. I didn’t do it thinking that I have to work afterwards. I have no deadlines. I have no meetings.
I have found at least one taker for all the kids clothes and toys that I have stacked in my workout/photography room. I’d like to workout again, so these need to go soon. I think that I’ll just end up donating the rest somewhere.
I have also:
- Made progress on the file server cleanup.
- Tried a new recipe–a zucchini curry soup
- Received a bagel lesson
- Schedule yet another repair person to this time actually fix the dishwasher. I don’t want to go through the five weeks and three trip repair time we did with our washing machine
I still need to:
- Finishing the abandoned paint jobs
- Start the kids’ bathroom paint job
- Yard work
- Clean the carpets. All of them.
I’m going to fix the kids breakfast, take Jay to daycare and head to KC with Ada.
*There are a few small toys that James threw behind the fireplace screen. I didn’t feel like detaching it to get them out.
