That should do me for 2 more years
I had something in KC that I needed to do today, so I dipped into vacation and made a day of it. My morning was spent by myself, but I meet Ada and Mac after they finished meeting a friend for lunch. Mac drove back home, but Ada and I ran some errands. One of those took me to Oak Park mall. I have not been to an indoor mall for 1.5 years–happily. The primary reason being I cannot be in a mall more than 30 minutes without getting a headache. It happened today, it happened the last time I went there 1.5 years ago. There hasn’t been a time where I have gone there and not left with a headache. I’ve been to The Mall of America once, and it about killed me. I almost sacrificed myself just so I could see the Lego store*. I have the same problem with museums. I was almost puking from the pain the last time I went to The Smithsonian in DC. Even my last trip to the Cosmosphere was rather painful.
Back to the mall: I made it to Lush finally. We don’t really need soap since Mac recently made a huge batch of it, however, ours isn’t scented and the wonderful lemon smell of one soap hooked me. I bought that. And they let Ada throw a bath bomb into a tub of water, so guess what we ended up with that as well. We also went to the Happiest Store On Earth** and the Second Happiest Store On Earth***. I found a dress.
Today’s mall experience should hold me over for another two years.
*The Lego store was awesome. I swear the only thing not made out of Legos were the cash registers and the counters holding up the cash registers.
