King Ada

King Ada This evening after her bath, Ada adorned herself with a pink-feather tiara, declared herself “The King” and put on her backpack so she could go to the store to get new hair. This has to be another Wisler gene. You can see the tiara better in the photo where Jay decides to attack [...]

And I never make the bed for the same reason. It is a stupid, repetitive task that is only necessary when you wash the sheets or the covers are messed up enough that you can no longer cover up. You have to get through all the bed stuff to get to the bacon stuff.

The Watermelon Experiment

Apr 26th, 2009 // In: Posts // By: // Comments 0

I’ve eaten a couple of pieces–about 1-inch cubes–of watermelon for three nights. I experienced no itching. I’ll go for broke and eat a lot tomorrow–perhaps for breakfast. Dinner April 23, 2009 This recipe for asparagus stir-fry just appeared on 101 Cookbooks. I have to say that this ranks as one of my favorite. I didn’t add spinach because I forgot. The only change that I would make would be to reduce the lime juice a little. Although, I may not because Ada [...]

The replacement is here!

Apr 23rd, 2009 // In: Posts // By: // Comments 2

UPS just delivered my replacement baking stone. This one was a little more expensive than some of the others that I have been looking at, but it got a really good America’s Test Kitchen* rating. Also, Mac searched Google for promotion codes for the place we got it and found one for 10%-off the entire [...]

Ada bubbles Since something that I need for work is broken, I thought I could write an update. And give you a photo of Ada blowing bubbles. I’ll make one confession from the start, I am reviewing my Twitter/Facebook updates for this. Nice notes for writing things out more. Twitter Update: Hamster Baby II is [...]

Onion headline: Stupid Man Overshadowed By Louder Stupid Man I rarely read the articles, and this one is no different. Usually they are not as good as the headline. I wish all news outlets let The Onion write the headlines.
