In search of a stone
It is a good thing that I have many dishes and do not need these for any reason. *Whew*
What I do need though is a baking stone which is why I’m even on cooking.com. Mine suffered a recent accident and is no longer in one piece. The only kind that I can find in town is a small round one with handles on the side. No thanks. I want a nice big one–sans handles. I have found one that I like online, however shipping on a baking stone costs just as much as the stone. I need to expand my search around here. I know there is a restaurant supply store in KC. I need to go there, although that may be a dangerous prospect.
How big is “nice big”?
Probably a 14-inch by 16-inch. The only ones that I find that are bigger are made for commercial ovens with no handles. If I could afford two of them, neat-o!
Surely, you’ve seen these options already?
