Marking a milestone
I never filled out a baby book for either Ada or James. We got one for Ada, but I’m just not that overly sentimental about the first time she pooped*. Filling out memory books does not make me feel like I’m recording precious memories to be carried forward generations. It makes me feel like I’ve been tricked into spending years filling out forms. However, I’ll probably regret it when I’m older and cannot remember anything, so I started just noting things here.
Ada hit another milestone today–one that I am particularly proud of. It ranks up there with her very first words and being housebroken and almost having an IM conversation in perl. Today, Ada got her very first XBLA achievement! Mark it–Sunday, January 25th, 2009 around 2:30pm**! W00t!
This is what Ada has to say about her first achievement: “I like eating cars!”
*That is a lie. I am sentimental about the first time she pooped. It was in the hospital, and Mac’s first diaper change. She pooped on him causing him to scream. I laughed, and then immediately started crying because laughing felt like someone was ripping my guts out with their bare hands. That moment was worth the pain though.
**I was so filled with pride that I forgot to note the exact time. I’ll look to see if it says when she is done playing.
