Weekly Menu – December 20th

Dec 20th, 2008By: Comments 2

This week is going to be a tad better than last. It will also be short because of Christmas.

Saturday: Ginger Hoisin Pork Tenderloin — I cut a pork tenderloin into about 1/2 inch pieces and marinate then for a couple of hours in a mixture of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar and sesame seeds. I cook it and combine it with some sort of stir fry vegetable. Tonight it will be broccoli because I have a lot of it.

Sunday: Breakfast – French Toast — If I get around to making challah tonight I didn’t. I made biscuits, bacon and cereal; Dinner – Pizza — Italian Sausage and Beef and BBQ — Mac says that he will never get tired of eating pizza.

Monday: Coconut Curry Chicken Casserole

Tuesday: Breakfast – Latkes — russet or sweet, I haven’t decided — with yo cheese or homemade applesauce; Dinner – Beef and Barley Stew

Wednesday – Friday: We will be in Hutchinson. Thursday we are having ham, and I’m making some good old-fashion dinner rolls, hoping that the dough that I will make at my house will keep cold enough in the cooler with the frozen ham on the trip to Hutchinson. Hopefully we can get a meal at Anchor Inn.

Ada keeps asking when she gets to go to school. She keeps asking “In 5 minutes?” I just told her she has approximately 23,000 minutes before she gets to go back. Let hope she doesn’t spend the majority of them asking us if she has 5 minutes until she goes to school.

Stan Yeah. And you know? I think I learned something today, it doesn’t matter if you’re Christian or Jewish or Atheist or Hindu. Christmas still is about one very important thing:
    Cartman Yeah, ham.
