Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, I Made You Out Of Candy
Ada came home with a dreidel yesterday. She kept insisting that it was candy. We tried to show her how to spin it, but she kept saying, “No! I eat it! It’s candy!” I’m sure there are dreidels made out of candy, but this particular one was plastic. She is convinced the main function of a dreidel is as a quick pick-me-up snack, and we were unable to persuade her otherwise. I’m wondering if they had some at daycare filled with candy.
Also on the holiday front, Ada read to me out of The Night Before Christmas book we have. I wanted to read it to her, but she was persistent that it was “Ada’s turn!” I’m glad she read it to me. I didn’t know that the Santa legend had anything at all to do with monsters and dinosaurs. I learned something new.
