Has anyone read Anathem?
Since he completely lost me from Cryptonomicon and on, should I bother?
BTW–I yearn for my laptop with more energy than a thousand suns. It’s like someone cut off my arm. Or ate my baby.

I’ve loved all of his books (Snow Crash through System of the World) and I’m loving Diamond Age now. I have Anathem and will start months from now. I need time to decompress.
It looks even more off since it takes place on another world. Did you not finish Cryptonomicon? Has the Sesame Street ADD left you unable to finish it? For shame! I feel for you!!!
I did not like Cryptonomicon. I tried reading it three times before I gave up.
Snow Crash and Diamond Age are on my favorite books list. I’ve had to replace Snow Crash three times due to wearing out the binding. My third copy is a better constructed, autographed hardbound.
