Day 199: End of Summer at the Park
Mac suggested yesterday that we take dinner to the park. I made sandwiches from the leftover ham I had made for dinner the day before and brought along grapes and bananas. The kids didn’t really want to eat. James shoved a banana in his mouth, and Ada kept coming back for grapes. When we got back, we all cleaned up and then I made cookies.
Today I woke up with a slightly sore throat. Mac went to the farmer’s market to pick up bagels for breakfast, and because I didn’t feel quite like getting out of bed. The kids other ideas, so I ended up getting up anyhow. We had breakfast, and my throat started hurting more. Then I got really tired. I could barely keep my eyes open. I gave into it around noon. I just got up about an hour ago. My throat is still hurting.
