On road trips and the terrible twos
James isn’t two yet. He won’t be until February, but we feel like he has hit that terrible two mark. And he wants all daddy all the time which right now, I’m fine with.
We went to Tulsa, OK this weekend. The kids did fair. James was screaming the very last part both ways. Next time we either need an over the seat DVD player or one of those hard shells for the top of the vehicle that we can put the kids in. I’d probably get in a lot less trouble with the DVD player. I used to be a little judgmental when I saw cars that had kids blankly staring at DVDs in the back seat. Now I have children, and wow, 1-hour of high pitched squealing in the car on the way home. I apologize to anybody I have a smirked at. We are getting one for the next car trip that is longer than going to KC.
