About Ada and The Wii and Myself and Dinner
Ada has had a fever all day, ranging from about 100 – 102.7. She slept with us last night, and she kept waking up and whining and saying, “mooooommmmy” and then cuddling up to me, laying partially on top of me. Normally, this wouldn’t have been that big of a deal, but she had a temperature of 102.8 when I checked during one of her waking moments. It is the hottest part of the year, and it felt like I was sleeping under an electric blanket, but I just lied there and let her sleep. Now I’m exhausted.
Last night, I spent about 30 minutes with the Wii Fit. I told Mac that we needed a harder surface for the board because the carpet could be partially to blame for my terrible performance on the balance games. He then said, “maybe we should put on the extensions that came with it for using it on carpet.” I rebutted with “The what?” Yeah. I put the extensions on the feet of the board. Now it weighs me correctly. I will try the balance games again tonight to see if I’ve improved.
I’m starting to feel hot, so now I’m paranoid that my body is being attacked by viruses even though Hand, Foot and Mouth disease usually only shows up in kids. It would be my luck that I’ve actually never been exposed to this before, so I’m next in line to get sick. Remember James’ open-mouth kiss I got the morning he got his fever? Yeah.
We are having Chinese for dinner. I need to go upstairs because I can’t hear the doorbell downstairs. And James is home.
*chuckle*

That’s what those things are for! I need to get the box back out.
