I know your plan, appliances!
Mac asked me tonight what the code “LD” meant on the washer. Well, crap. I’m sure nothing good. I used my Google-Fu, and came up with “Long Drain” which means it took an excessively long time for the water to drain out, and that we should check the hose for kinks or clogs*.
Really, washing machine? I’m sure the repairman would love to come back to our house after we take the hose off, find nothing, and it turns out to be the fault of the dryer. Or, perhaps, one of my other appliances would like to rebel as well. Maybe all at once, so we can have a repair man here in one trip? The hot water heater, perhaps? No, that one’s already leaked all over the basement. Okay, I’ll take the hose off myself first, but I had better find something in there.
*Suspiciously glaring at all of my appliances*
* The dishwasher code for the same problem is “EO”, which we found out last week. It was nice of the dishwasher to tell us since the clog was in the garbage disposal, and that has no display or even a way to beep to tell me something is wrong–the only thing in my kitchen to not have that feature, actually.
