Day 189: I finally cooked something!
It seems like a long time since I’ve cooked. Not just made a meal, but really cooked. I’ve thrown burgers on the grill and made burritos. My work schedule has been busy, so Mac has taken care of a lot of the meals since I’ve been back. Last night I made a rack of lamb. I feel like I’ve been off schedule since I had to go to South Dakota. My work schedule should be returning to normal now so I can plan out meals again rather than digging around at the last minute to see what I can make.
We picked up some organizing bins for the kids’ playroom. I ripped off the wallpaper and painted yesterday. Today, I cleaned the carpet. Tomorrow I will wash the walls that I didn’t paint and clean the fridge. Then we will put up the bins and start moving toys downstairs. Mac also found a couple more gates so we can gate the bottom of the stairs and the entry into the office.
Mac also came home with the Wii gun and Resident Evil, so we have zombies to shoot. No Mario Kart yet.
