Day 188: Ada’s new haircut
Here it is. She has a cute little bob with bangs. The hair isn’t in her eyes anymore, and I don’t have to fight keeping clasps in her hair. This will also hopefully stop the long detangling process. Having my hair short solves mine. Here are a few more photos:
The back of her hair, but not good to show the bob since she wouldn’t hold her head correctly
Ada poses the question, “Do you like seafood?”
Another photo to add to the one-that-got-away list.
James–when it isn’t brushed to the side a little, it looks quite like a bowl cut.

WOW! She instantly looks younger to me!
…and like a boy.
Actually, I take that back. She looks like a Lego, more than a boy.
I’m sure Lynn will read this comment and smack you on the back of the head on my behalf at her first available opportunity.
The long arm of the Mel™. I need to grow a rapport with J, so I can have immunity.
Duly noted and agree completely!!! Will do at earliest opportunity.
Thanks!
Ow.
BTW, ISO 1600 would have enabled you to get that shot that you missed. 1/100 sec is barely fast enough to freeze human motion, let alone for 70mm, and I think that it’s human motion that was to blame for that shot.
ISO 1600 is horribly noisy. That’s why I never shoot at that. And I don’t have any noise reduction software to minimize it.
Try shooting at ISO 1600, in RAW, and slightly overexpose the shot. Then, using Digital Photo Professional, correct the exposure. A lot of the noise is seen in the shadows, especially when the correction occurs the other way. Also, in the latest version, Canon has included noise reduction.
Also, would you rather have a noisy shot, or a blurry shot?
