The best headache of all!

We are never buying ice cream again. Okay, that may be a lie–never say never. Our first batch of homemade ice cream just came out of our new ice cream maker. OMG–yummy! Mac wanted a plain vanilla, so that is what broke in the maker. It definitely needs to sit in the freezer for a couple of hours after making it, but it worked quite well. Can you say “Piña Colada ice cream?” Because that is what my brain is chanting over and over and over…

My brain is also saying, “I can make my own Chunky Monkey with chunks of Valrhona.”

My ass and thighs are saying, “I hope you really like the gym because we are going to have to spend a little more time there. You freakin’ sugar-holic.”

We’ve talked about getting one since Ada was born, we just didn’t think it was a necessary purchase. Mac grabbed one at Costco on a whim. There is the boring history of that purchase.

I might try the Nutella–after the CMD is over. With brownies.

Hazelnuts in brownies I might consider. Wonder how they’d turn out if you replaced the “chocolate syrup” with equal or twice the amount of Nutella. Hmmm…

You’d have to take into account the Palm oil in the Nutella. That added fat will change how they bake, and you’d have to adjust your other fat accordingly. I think a small scoop of Nutella ice cream on top of the brownie would be nice.

I have a better idea. Refrigerate small balls of Nutella (made with a mellon baller), so they are the consistency of refrigerated butter. Then, gently mix them into the batter, before baking. Enough so that each bite of brownie has an explosion of yumminess! :-) *slurp* (licks chops)
