Day 146: My lily is still alive

May 25th, 2008By: Comments 2

I’m posting this because I won’t get anything else taken today. Taking into account my inexperience and general bad luck at keeping plant life alive, I’m happy that I still have flowers. Some are even thriving!

Mac and I were able to go see Indiana Jones today. All the thanks to my SIL who watched the kiddos. We went to the Legends to watch it because of the nice seats and an attendant that keeps bringing me martinis. We hadn’t eaten lunch either, so we had chicken quesadillas and spinach and artichoke dip with the movie as well. It is my favorite place to see a movie, and since we rarely ever get to go to the movies anymore, it is worth the expense to not have to crawl over people to get to a seat and again, have a person who will keep bringing you martinis.

Also a bonus of going to the Legends to see the movie is the opportunity to duck into Ann Taylor. Of course, the first things that I were drawn to were either size 4 or smaller or 12 or higher which did me no good. I kept looking and found other things in my size. I’m happy that just about everything they have in regular sizes they also have in petites. I picked up one sundress that fits well, but I still think it is a tad too long. It may be the style, but that style makes me look even shorter. It is still better than the non-petite version which is even longer and makes me look like a Hobbit. Since I do not sew, it will have to do.

I also spotted that a Gymboree outlet store opened at the Legends!

A Gymboree outlet! I’m so going out there again now. The last time we went it was about 40 degrees and brutally windy, but the buy one get one half off sale at the Stride Rite outlet was about over.
