Day 144: Evenings in the yard
We are spending a lot more time in the backyard in the evenings now. Tonight was one of those evenings. I really enjoy it.
James is a daddy’s boy. He prefers Mac over anyone. When I got home from work today, Mac handed him to me so I could say hi, and he immediately wanted to go back to Mac. When I leave the room, sometimes he whines a little, but when Mac leaves the room he has a colossal meltdown.
I’m trying to think of what else I can post about besides the kids, but between them and work, my day is all used up. I’ll leave this post with two more stories.
Funny Ada Story #4234934920
I was sitting on the deck this evening pulling tonight’s photos off the card. Mac had taken the kids inside to give them a bath. I was starting to pick which photo I was going to use for today when Ada burst through the door onto the deck yelling, “I’m clean! I’m clean! Yippee! I’m clean!” Funny points:
- She was naked.
- She still had shampoo in her hair.
Ada is very joyous when she is naked. She does what I have named The Ecstatic Dance of Happy Naked Glee. It is almost impossible to dress her because she won’t stop running and jumping around. My dog used to do the same thing after his bath. The other day, Mac grabbed his video camera and recorded it. In 1080i.
Sweet Ada Story #6
Ada got up this morning once she realized that I was awake and getting ready for work. I was sitting on the sofa putting on my shoes, and she curled up beside me. It is so rare for Ada to cuddle. Even though it was time for me to leave, I didn’t and sat there about 20 minutes cuddled up with Ada on the sofa.
Did you realize when you posted this that you were immortalizing your first-borne son covered in pooh?
Unfortunately, yes. I hate cartoon character clothing, but this was a gift, and Mac dressed him that day, so there you go.
How about Tux?
Mac probably would, but I wouldn’t.
