Day 11: Dance, Queequeg, Dance!

Day 11: Dance, Queequeg, Dance!
I took pictures of Ada playing with her doll house last night. None of them came out exactly as I intended, but I need a picture for today, so here one is.
Queequeg is how she pronounces “penguin”–at least we assume since she hasn’t read Moby Dick. It is my favorite of her interpretations of speech. We will say to her “p-p-p-penguin!” She’ll repeat back, “p-p-p-Queequeg!” So, Queequeg it is.
Yesterday afternoon and most of this morning have been pretty sucky. And I woke up with the type of bad headache that I know will not go away without me going back to sleep. I’ve taken pills, and they haven’t done anything except make my stomach upset. Yuck.
I bet I won’t get any photos taken tonight. I’m not even sure if I’ll be up for making dinner.
I’m trying to read through some photography books that M let me borrow. I have some more on my wishlist that I want to read, and with me getting laid off, it furthers my cause that I just need to go get a library card. I mean, geez, I spent tons of time at the library when I was a kid because borrowing books was the only way I could get one to read. Now, I buy them just because I like owning books and I can take my dear sweet time and I’m lazy procrastinating enough that I won’t get them returned on time–especially with a job and kids.
