Day 6: Documenting a first
I’ve been contemplating this moment for the last couple of months, but the tangle in her hair this morning the size of a golf ball cemented that day as today. Ada had her very first haircut. Yes, 2.5 years and I’ve never cut her hair. It is really long, and she was getting split ends, and just like my hair when I have it long, it was starting to form world-record tangles. I used my picture for today to document the before and after. Also, as you can tell in the after shot, I cannot hold Ada still with one hand and hold my camera still with the other. I need to permanently set up my tripod.
Another before – The focus of this pictures wasn’t intentional (in otherwords, I wasn’t trying to catch motion), but I like it because it caught one of the moments that I have when I look at Ada and I can’t believe how fast she is growing up and how beautiful she is.
The sad moment about this? Her ringlet curls had been fading, but they are now completely gone.
I’m getting a headache. Blah.
