We bought a baby book for Ada, but we haven’t been filling it out. It is mostly goofy stuff anyhow, and I really would have prefered to have this book. I mean, sure, first tooth, first word, yadda, yadda. That’s cute and all, but it isn’t like me, really. I will tell her about how daddy’s first time to change her diaper was her very first diaper change, and she pooped on him. He screamed, I laughed and then immediately cried because laughing right after you’ve had your stomach and uterus cut through hurts so freakin’ bad. But it was worth the laugh.
So, I’m using Stuology to mark this occasion down. Today, Ada and I went to the grocery store and she didn’t cry. She sat up in the cart, and she didn’t cry. Or whine. I didn’t have to carry her. She did no crying or whining when I brought her home. We played for a bit. I changed her into her jammies. I fed her some pears. I layed her back down on the floor, and she rolled over and went to sleep. So, I picked her up to carry her back to her room. She layed her head on my chest and did not whine or cry. I put her in her crib, and she wiggled around until she was comfy and went to sleep.
Her moving average to being like those happy, drama-free babies that you see on tv is getting better.
What I didn’t get though is pictures of her socks. I got her orange and white stripe knee-highs. They are cute, she hasn’t been able to pull them off to shove them in her mouth, and they cost 50-cents. I love them.
I’m done making cookies for tomorrow. Now I just have to clean up the mess and head to bed.
All you will find here are photos, my weekly menus and babblings about my children. I am trying out new themes as time allows. I don't think this one will work out well with my photos unless I make this a two-column layout.
