Good-bye Squanto
Squanto Houdinied his way out of his harness today, and was out loose again. This time he was still nosing around the yard and he ran to me when I called him. Good thing since his tags are on his harness.
Veatch came over this evening, had dinner with Mac and I, and then took Squanto to KC, where he will stay until hopefully mid-Spring. I don’t think we are going to get a fence built before the ground freezes. I’ll miss him, but I know he will be taken care of under Dave’s watch. I’ll get Squanto back for a week in November while Dave is out of town, so I will see him soon.
Oh, and for my mother, Dave commented more than once about how he couldn’t believe how thin Squanto looked. He has his body-builder shape back.
So, now, when do I get my body-builder shape back? Maybe when I stop baking so freaking much and get my butt back to the gym. I can’t really use the “I just had a baby” excuse much longer.
