First, I would like to say that posting to my site is staying away from LJ, however I did break my quarantine once. Just once.
Second, I am starting my house chores now so I can get some things done before I pick up Ada. The task I started on first was to fold, put in a load and sort through Ada’s clothes. I have all her clothes ready for fall/winter with the purchase of some 6 – 9 month items. I’m also collecting all her NB – 3M clothes, and 0 – 9M socks for packing. She wore a 0 – 3 month dress* today to daycare, but I think that is the only item that will need to be washed and added. It is the first batch of Ada clothes that I am packing up and moving to storage.
I also opened the house today after the surprise 70 degree weather we are having. The house smells great after being aired out. I’m ready for fall. Not winter, never ready for winter. But I want consistant 60 – 70 degree days. It is supposed to be in the 90s again by this weekend though.
I also took a break this afternoon around lunch to put together Ada’s new Exersaucer. It is my first some-assembly-required that I’ve done for her. All the other stuff, my family graciously put together for me when they came to visit at Ada’s arrival, and Mac put together the crib. It was fun, but I’m sure that will wear off as my life goes on and more things need assembled.
Okay, done updating, back to work. Mac comes home tonight, albeit late, but I want the chores done so Thursday night is all about him and Ada–okay, Ada and him.
