Ada update
Ada is now 12weeks, 1day old. She pretty much sleeps through the night, at least we can get her to sleep anywhere between 10:30 – 12:30 and she wakes up at 6:00 – 7:30. Every once in awhile she wakes up around 2:00 – 3:00, but it is rare. She’s babbling more, crying less. She had a really grumpy day on Tuesday, but yesterday she was great. So far, she’s been good this morning as well. It has been great for me because as of yesterday, I’m officially off maternity leave and working from home. I really hate having her in her swing for long periods, but I at least try to talk to her while I work. She just seems so bored swinging by herself. On Monday, I get to take her to daycare and drive to KC to work. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle that, especially since she is starting to be entertaining. I really hope that I get to keep my work at home schedule so that I can go have lunch with her.
I’m not sure exactly how much she weighs, but according to the get-on-the-bathroom-scale-holding-her method, she is close to 12lbs–almost double her weight since she came home. In a few weeks, I’m probably going to have to pack away her 0-3 month clothes.
She can hold her head up without any problems while she is sitting or we are carrying her, however she still hates being placed on her stomache. She can sit up for a short time before she starts to topple over as well. She getting pretty good at taking her legs and flinging herself on her side, but she hasn’t rolled over completely. She is getting a lot better at chewing on her hands without accidentily punching herself in the face.
So, for those who don’t get to see her often, a few updated pictures:
