Ada update

One: I really need to get my sleep time turned back around. Yes, I’m still awake. I guess it will be good when we head out to the lake. I can get everything ready to go while Mac sleeps, and then he can drive out to the lake while I sleep.

Two: I don’t remember when I last did an Ada update. So, here are some accomplishments

She is starting to sleep for longer periods as well as developing a sleep pattern. Right now she goes to bed between 1:30 – 3:00 am and stays asleep until around 8 – 9:30 am Yippee for me, if I can get to sleep around 1:30 – 3:00 am instead of around 5:00 – 6:00 am. I am not one of those people that can just lie down and fall asleep. Blech. She will then be up until around 11:30 – noon. We will then take a nap together until 2:30 – 4:30. Then she is up until 1:30 – 3:00 am with 1-hour naps here and there. She gets pretty fussy in the evenings, but it is around the same time in the evenings–probably because she is tired, but she still won’t sleep more than 1 hour or so. I’m hoping I can get her start time for her long period of sleep to start around 11:00 – midnight in time to go back to work. It would be perfect for her to sleep from then until 6:00. Then she can eat, take a bath, get dressed and be tired for another 3 hour nap when she gets to daycare.

Her horrid reflux is gone. She now spits up like a normal baby. Thank-goodness.

She is starting to crack a smile now and then, and even make little cooing noises. I can get her to do it a couple of times a day during diaper changing and maybe once on her activity pad. It is nice to hear her make a noise other than crying. Although, she still does plenty of that.

She also follows me around the bathroom during my shower time. I set her in her little bouncy chair in front of the full length mirror, so when I’m in the shower she stares at herself (or falls asleep).

I’m also getting the feeling like she recognizes me in a way that holds more value to her than when she stares at the ceiling fan, her bedroom wall or a light.

She loves her bath time until you take her out.

She doesn’t scream like a banshee when I put a hat on her like she used to.

Her 2 monthiversary is July 4th. Her next Dr. appointment is July 5th, so I should have some vital statistics for her. She’ll also have to go her first round of immunizations, so she will probably be grumpy–like she isn’t most of the time anyhow. I can’t wait to find out her weight. She has developed some mighty thighs since her last appointment.
