Oh, how I wish this was true. I didn’t want to come back to the real world; the office-in-a-box world; the stop-questioning-by-change-requests-you-annoying-dba world; the no-matter-how-much-you-honk-your-horn-mr-man-behind-me-the-stuck-bus-a-block-ahead-isn’t -going-to-move-any-faster world; No, I wanted to stay in the sleeping-on-a-cloud-to-the-smell-of-roses-beautiful-wooden-with-leather-accent-bed world; the large-soothing-bubble-chromathearpy-moonlight-hitting-the-water-through-the-window-warm-jet-tub world; the cheese-blitz-strawberry-coffee-cinnamon-roll-orange-juice-breakfast-on-a-marble-table world.

For Valentine’s, I got Mac a gift with the Valentine he got me last year on it. I also reserved a room at Chateau Avalon. The room came with champagne*, roses, chocolate, big comfy robes, breakfast, and a Crabtree & Evelyn spa set. We got back in town from Hutchinson on Sunday, so I had to unpack and do laundry Sunday night, and then pack an overnight bag and his VD present on Monday morning and load it into the SUV without him seeing. The fun part was having to wait until he was done with items that he uses to get ready for work and swiping them and carrying them out to the SUV when we left without him knowing what I was doing. I picked him up at work 30 minutes early, told him that we weren’t going home and drove him out to check-in. We enjoyed our room for a little bit, and then went out for dinner, and then back to the room for the rest of the night. It was supposed to be a relaxing night for him, but truth be told, I got just as much relaxation out of it as he did.
