Happy New Year! For those who don’t know, today is the start of the year 4701 on the Chinese calendar. I’ve never mentioned or celebrated this in the past, but you see, this year is the Year of the Monkey! Some of you are aware, because I’ve been getting links to news stories of monkey events, a monkey New Year card, and even a couple of monkey figurines. If I wasn’t so busy at work and so tired at home, I would have tried to plan some sort of celebration. As it is, all I did today is wear a pair of monkey socks that I got from ChernobylRed. I think I’m going to take a personal day tomorrow so I can sleep in. Some celebrating, huh. The last time it was the Year of the Monkey, I was in highschool , and the next time it will happen, I will be old, so I need to make the most of this year*.
When I become a super-power, I’m going to start having themes for the year. Just wait until everybody is celebrating The Year of the Robot, or the Year of Chocolate, or the Year of Ewan McGregor!
My computer is in parts strung across the floor of my office, or I would have posted some of my New Year monkey stuff. I got my new motherboard, CPU, harddrive, and power supply. I’m waiting on the new memory for next payday. After I have it all together, I’ll post the specs.
All you will find here are photos, my weekly menus and babblings about my children. I am trying out new themes as time allows. I don't think this one will work out well with my photos unless I make this a two-column layout.

Happy New Year!
Is it just me, or do you appear to receive top-notch parts for your computers on a weekly basis?

Only if your sample data contains the past few weeks
Most of my hardware is two years old, except for my sound card, CD burner, speakers, and monitor, which are 5 years old. When I’m done, the oldest parts will be two years old (my case), and 5 years old (my monitor and speakers). I do have my eyes twinkling for a 23-inch Apple Cinema display though. Yummy!

I just got a 20 inch cinema display last month and a second sony CRT to the right of it so I work on the apple screen and watch DVD’s on the screen…get the cinema display and you’ll need the ADC-DVI converter from apple ($99) to make it work.
I’m running it on a radeon 9000, works just great.

What girl doesn’t want a proper accessory for her 23-incher!?!
I’ll get a G5 as soon as Apple gets a cooling solution for the PowerBook.
