I haven’t been posting for awhile, not because anything drastic has occured, keeping me from my computer. Nothing exciting has been happening. In the past, that has not stopped me from sharing my prosaic exsistance. So, to keep my regulars just that, I’ll share:

Most people should know, but Kansas made it to the Final Four. I’m not going to be in Lawrence for the game on Saturday. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be in Atlanta, either. I did get a report on ticket prices at lunch today from a friend of mine, and according to him, I’d have to take out a loan to afford to go to Atlanta*.

Great news at work**. I get to help take over another 24 X 7 application. Unlike my other 24 X 7 application, this isn’t used that often. When it’s use becomes necessary though, it is critical that it works***. Therefore, I was informed today that I am going to be given a beeper. I may open up betting on how long it will take me to “misplace” that beeper.

Most people who read regularly know that I like to gripe about the weather. So, I will make note that today was particularly crappy for it being Spring. Where is my sunshine? My slightly breezy 75 degree day? My green grass? My birdies? Huh? All I got today was cloudy, sleety, snowy, 20-ish degree weather that caused three wrecks on I-70 which made my trip into work this morning 2 hours long.

*By Atlanta, I particularly mean the Georgia Dome.
